What you don't know may hurt you...

A few years ago, I was having trouble with the skin on my hands cracking and bleeding. It was terribly painful, so I went to a Dermatologist. He did an allergy panel and found out that I was allergic to formaldehyde. I thought well, I won't have to worry about that until I'm dead-haha. My hands did not get any better, so I went to another doctor. What the first one failed to tell me was that formaldehyde is in EVERYTHING. The second doctor gave me a list of ingredients to look for that are formaldehyde producing. Once I started avoiding these things, my hands healed, and I began my quest for products that I can use. Here are some Formaldehyde-Free products:

To Wash Your Hands:
Organic Foaming Hand Soap from Peeptoad Hollow $16.50.

A Treat For Dry Skin:

Sweet Strawberry Body Butter from Genevieve's Garden, $8.20. Lots of other scents too!

Sugary Treat for bath or shower:
Mint Sugar Scrub from Lusa Organics. Small: $7.25, Large: $9.75 and Refill: $8.75. Lots of scents to choose from.

For Your Shower:
Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Gel from Lush USA. $23.95

Check your labels for:
Diazolidinyl urea
DMDM Hydatoin
Imidazolidinyl Urea
These are all formaldehyde producing preservatives.

So, so glad that you figured out that everything you touched was harmful. This shocked me! I had no idea that it was in so many things. I remember the things we dissected in bio being preserved in formaldehyde -
